Delayna Burroughs
About Me
I'm Delayna Burroughs, and I'm thrilled to be joining Mount Gallant Elementary as a First Grade teacher! This year marks my 10th year of teaching. I've previously taught second and third grade at Finley Road Elementary and Ebenezer Avenue Elementary, and I'm excited to begin this new adventure as a Knight.
I graduated from Winthrop University and have called Rock Hill home ever since. I love helping students discover a love of learning and building a classroom community where everyone feels welcome and encouraged to be their best.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, embroidery, spending time in the sunshine, and taking walks by the river with my two dogs, Della Jane and Darcy Mae.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of my students and their families and making this school year one to remember!
