Dr. Chastity Baccus, Dean of Students

My name is Dr. Chastity Griffin Baccus, and I am currently the Dean of Student Leadership. I am the mother of Chelsie, Brian, and Christian. I am the grandmother of Chandler and Brielle. I’m married to my love, Mr. Rhoderick Baccus. I am a 25-year veteran teacher. I’ve taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Coker College, a master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, a 2nd master's degree in educational leadership from Salem International University, and a Doctorate in Education in P-20 Self Design from Walden University. My dissertation is entitled Teachers' Perceptions of the Struggles of African American Males in Grades 3-5. 

In my spare time, I serve as a local and national trainer and facilitator for Leaders for Just Schools and the Boys and Girls Club of America. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. 

My philosophy is that ALL students can learn if given an opportunity by creating a positive, equitable learning environment.
